"description": "Rick started his professional career with Andy Gibb and has been \n\ntouring Australia and the world ever since. Among the many gigs in a \n\ncareer that spans 3 plus decades you can include international artists \n\nJeff ‘Skunk’ Baxter, (Steely Dan & Doobie Bros.) and Glenn Shorrock,\n\n (Little River Band) as well as iconic Australian acts including Dragon,\n\n Jon Stevens, Stevie Wright, Marc Hunter, Brian Cadd, Doug Parkinson and\n\n Jimmy Little. Over the years there have also been countless solo shows \n\nboth in Australia and the USA. Although Rick has played on scores of \n\nrecordings he has a very special place in his heart for his professional\n\n and personal relationship with the late John Denver which culminated in\n\n the piano and orchestra recording of the international hit single ‘For \n\nYou’.\n\nFrom 1985-91 Rick was the managing partner in Reel Time, a \n\nprofessional recording studio in Sydney which hosted many of Australia’s\n\n premier musical artists and it was there that he got a chance to \n\nsharpen both his technical and artistic/production skills. From 1991 he \n\nfollowed the trend to a smaller more personal facility where he \n\ncontinues to record and produce music both for himself and others for \n\nall kinds of projects: independent and record company artists, as well \n\nas television and film which has also consistently featured in his \n\ncapacity as a composer. In the late 1980′s he c0-wrote the theme song \n\nfor the 26 part TV serial ‘Willing & Abel’ and currently he has the\n\n theme music for the long running sports series ‘Escaping With ET’ on \n\nair. The eco documentary special ‘Australian Adventure’ is set for \n\ninternational release in 2010 and he has incidental as well as recording\n\n credits. The country single ‘Where Do Old Cowboys Go’ which he also \n\nco-wrote spent 7 weeks at #1 on the Australian charts and was nominated \n\nfor a Golden Guitar (kinda like the Grammy’s for Aussie country music.)",
