Born in Chelyabinsk, Russia, she graduated from Karpenko-Karyi Institute of Theater in Kyiv 
(specialization cinematographer, Suren Shabkazyan’s workshop). She worked at Odesa Fiction Films 
Studio and Kyivnaukfilm studio. She has made 7 fiction films and about 30 documentaries as a director 
of photography. 
 She is a member of the National Cinematographers’ 
Union of Ukraine. Since 1993, she has been an independent film producer, head, and founder of Inspiration Films Company.\n\nSvitlana initiated and led with partners during 8 years the Ukrainian Co-production Workshops for Documentaries. As a producer, she has produced about 50 documentaries, which were widely presented at prestigious film festivals; some of the films have been awarded at FID Marseille, Krakow IFF, Molodist IFF, and others.",
