After her performance, Gunn became the subject of widespread criticism for her unorthodox, conceptual style which Reuters described as \"perplexing\" and a \"misfire\", and which was perceived to have originated as a compensation for her disadvantages against more athletic breakers.\n\nIn November 2024, it was reported she was retiring from competitive breakdancing after receiving overwhelming global criticism for her performance at the Olympics.
