## Synopsis

"THE BLACK CHRIST" In the easternmost part of Guatemala, close to the border with Honduras and El Salvador lies the town of Esquipulas and its magnificent baroque basilica. Carmen, a young mother is abandoned by her philandering husband and struggles to survive alongside her young son, Esteban.
