Jüri Lumiste (born July 16, 1957 in Tartu) is an Estonian actor and director. Jüri Lumiste graduated from Tartu 1st Secondary School in 1975. In 1975, he studied mathematics at Tartu State University. In 1979, he finished the so-called Hermaküla studio. In the 1980s he participated in workshops in Russia, in the 1990s he participated in workshops in Türkiye, Finland, Denmark. In 1991-1992, he completed his training in Japan and Germany.
