An Egyptian director, born in Alexandria but raised in Port Said. He joined the Higher Institute of Cinema in Cairo to study script and graduated in 2009. Before graduating, he directed a short film called Mocha. His first documentary film Living Skin (2010), dealt with poverty and what the poor face, and won several important awards.
