His parents are both from South Korea, and he worked as a trainee in South Korea. He debuted in 2013 with the idol band Quattro Code in Korea. After the group disbanded, he came to Taiwan to develop his solo singing career and released his first Taiwanese single, 唱到哭出聲 (Sing Until You Cry) in June 2015. In 2017, he changed his stage name to 金在勳 (Kim Jae Hoon) and relaunched his career in TTV and Sanlih drama “See You in Time”. He revealed that everything was done to fulfill his mother's dream. He enlisted in the military on July 1, 2019, and he was discharged on January 25, 2021.
