Matthew James Thomas (occasionally credited as Matthew Thomas) is a British actor, writer and director. Best known for such films and TV series as Summer of Rockets (2019), The Devil You Know (2015), Britannia High (2008), Trevor's World of Sport (2003), and About a Boy (2002). He relocated to the USA in 2009 to play the title character in Julie Taymor's Broadway production of Spiderman: Turn Off The Dark (2009). He later originated the title character in the Tony Award-winning Broadway revival of Pippin (2013), directed by Diane Paulus.
