Lennard Bertzbach grew up with his parents, Tobias Bertzbach and Gelaga Böger-Bertzbach, and his three siblings on a farm in Quelkhorn near Bremen. From a young age, he performed with the theater group Am Mühlenberg, playing roles such as Tom Sawyer in Huckleberry Finn and the dentist in Little Shop of Horrors. Lennard Bertzbach plays guitar, piano, and drums. He was discovered by producers who saw a recording of his self-composed musical, Destination Anywhere, performed by the Mühlenberg theater group.
