Plan a year of streaming costs

Compare keeping every service for 12 months with paying only for the months you choose. Use your own prices, not an advertised deal that may not apply to you.

Start with what you actually pay

Check your bill for each monthly subscription, including any recurring add-on you want to count. Enter zero months to model dropping a service, or 12 to keep it all year. Add separate rows for separately billed subscriptions.

The planner uses a 12-month period starting whenever you choose. “Paid months” are billed months, even if you only watch for a few days. Names are optional; do not enter account numbers or payment details.

Example: a plan that leaves room to watch

These are illustrative prices, not provider offers. A £10 service kept for 12 months costs £120. A second £8 service kept for three paid months costs £24. Together that is £144, compared with £216 if both were kept all year: a potential reduction of £72.

Pick the months around the programmes you want to finish. If episodes arrive weekly, allow enough paid months for the final episode. Two services can overlap; the calculator does not schedule them or assume you can only use one at a time.

When this comparison is not enough

  • Annual contracts, discounted bundles, cancellation fees and minimum terms can prevent the modelled reduction. A monthly equivalent of an annual price does not make it cancellable monthly.
  • Trials, price rises, rental purchases and part-month refunds are not modelled. Use a realistic monthly charge rather than a temporary headline offer.
  • Cancelling can lose a discount. Confirm the renewal date, cancellation terms and the price of returning before changing a subscription.
  • Availability can change before your planned month. Check the exact title and season with the provider.
